Unlike some, I think there could be quite a big spend this window. They are going to be desperate to avoid relegation and will be prepared to splash the cash. However, it allso depends on whether we can shift any of our dead wood and on what's available, so as you were.

Celtic have denied Sky’s story that they have agreed a fee with Brighton.

Now Birmingham are officially hosting the commonwealth games in 2022 and rebuilding the Alexandra Stadium to 50k reducing to a permanent 25k Athletics should move there as their new home relinquishing the LS and enabling the sale of the LS in the near future to help fund the new stadium and village.
If relegated the owners will get a reduced rent and will try to use it to their advantage by pleading poverty to try to negotiate the sale of the LS on the cheap. They will need to get promoted back up to sell the club on for the huge profit they will want as they don't have the money or ambition required to redevelop the LS and fill it with a team that can compete in Europe.

We need midfielders of quality that can pass and control the football, are mobile, physical and athletic.
Nzonzi is too old but the quality level we need. Arter I know little about but since he seems a fringe player at times the obvious conclusion is that he will not improve us? But like I say, have not watched him at all although I recall he scored against us ?
Gawd knows who is available and who would come but we need something better in a squad where our defensive midfield choices are Kouyate, Obiang and Noble. Linking defence and attack and keeping possession are glaringly obvious problems.
